    Cannot upgrade Cold War from standard to next gen


    Hi there

    I purchased Call of Duty Cold War on the 12th November via a digital games website, a day before release so i could pre load. I bought the xbox one version as i thought we could upgrade to the Next Gen version for $10 but this isnt the case and i feel ive
    been sold a lie. There is no option to upgrade, only to purchase full price. This is a proper scam as i have already paid $450 for XboxSX, $55 for xbox one call of duty. There is no way i’m paying twice especially as cold war via backwards compatabilty runs
    absolute poorly and crashes alot. Activision support is useless so no help there. Currently in the process of claiming a refund via paypal which is proving difficult and will return my XboxSX as its useless too.

    Call of Duty Black ops Upgrade to X/S

    From what I can tell, to access the Series X version of the game, you need the Cross-Gen bundle...once you buy that, you should then be able to download and install the Series X version. Without the cross-gen bundle it will, presumably, just install the XB1 version

    From the Store page:

    "For digital owners of the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Standard Edition, this upgrade will unlock the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle, giving access to the Xbox Series X|S version of the game. After upgrade purchase, search in the Xbox store for the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War - Cross-Gen Bundle to install the Xbox Series X|S version of the game."
