    Cannot update


    Xbox community,

    I have recieved the error code: 0x87DD0016 0x00000000 0x00000201

    After doing a lot of research it appears that the common solutions to this problem are the following....

    1. Cold/hard restarting the Xbox (I have done this multiple times...10x)

    2. Checking network connections, I was showing "All looks good, your console is connected to the internet" message, and my NAT was open. I am able to play games on my computer with less than 50 ping and over 80FPS, the internet is not my issue I do not
    think.

    3. Removing account and attempting to re-add the account. When I tried this I was unable to do so (see step 4), due to the same error code.

    4. Resetting the Xbox (keeping games / DLC). Which is where I am stuck. I am currently resetting but I keep getting this code that I cannot update. When I check my internet connection on the Xbox, my phone and PC all signs are pointing to my network
    being perfectly fine. I have power cycled my router and have double checked everything that I can think of. Is my Xbox dead do you think? It is the first Xbox One that came out, so I am afraid that I have finally killed it. Please offer help.....and please
    read the above steps that I have tried before commenting, "Did you reset it?!" I have tried everything I can personally think of, and am very frustrated. Thank you all in advance for your help!

    Cannot update

    I have currently tried both wired and wireless options, still the same response. Again, I am sure it is not my internet as I have checked to make sure my ports are correctly forwarded, and all other devices are running smooth. When I do an internet connection
    test I am running at 172 mbps download at over 60 upload. Other games are running at low pings as well.

    are you using a hard wired connection or wifi, I would try this wired into the xbox. And another option if possible is to take this to a friends house and try to do the factory reset. And make sure you have about 10% space available on the internal hard

    Have you already tried to format the internal flash memory? A simple Yes or No will do just fine!

    I've formatted the Xbox a few times. I've tried the USB update many times by deleting all downloaded files and redoing the USB update again and again. It keeps doing the same thing and throws the same code.

    Cannot update...

    Turn off your Xbox and
    safely remove the hard drive     (if you have the Xbox 360 S 4GB console that has internal flash memory, then it is not removable). Replace the hard drive. You will hear a click sound when it is attached properly. Now turn on your console.

    Post back and let us know how it goes.
