Cannot update Titanfall

Pretty sure all we can do at this stage is sit on it and wait until they fix it up. pretty annoying.

Titanfall unplayable

Hey, FavoritePanda8, sorry to hear you're having issues with the game. Titanfall requires a 1.2GB update in order to play. The update cannot be installed on a flash drive but must be on an official Xbox 360 hard drive.

Also, I cannot install ANY of the content that i used to have:

FIFA 15 and 16, AC4, BF4, etc etc...it just says installation has stopped.

It also cannot download updates for physical game copess like TitanFall, so I am completely lost.

 

hope we dont have to buy a new game disc

 

I loaded up titanfall to the start screen then signed in after clearing the cache. Then signed in and it downloaded the update

 

I tried Wolfsknights way without clearing the cache and it worked for me.

So just load up the game, wait until you get to the start screen then sign in.

 

Unable to play as well - any news on this?

PLEASE NOTE: This WILL REQUIRE you to play through pilot/titan training sessions again -

Sign out of xbox live -

Go to System Settings - "Requires you to sign out of xbox live if you have not"

Go to Storage

Choose All Devices "If cloud storage is enabled"

Choose System Items " Delete BOTH! Cloud Storage Cache & Content Cache"

Go back to Games and Apps " Select Titanfall " Delete User Settings and if applicable User settings 'In sync' and or 'Titanfall Title Update' however this is what we were/are having issues getting."

Restart your xbox and sign in and launch Titanfall

You will get the original intro video as if you have never played before and be prompted to enable cloud storage again.

Do NOT enable cloud storage at this time - let the game launch normally to ensure the update downloads successfully once you play the game a 2nd time you will be prompted for cloud storage option again - This will not affect your character in any way and
you will have all of your progress you had prior even if you had selected cloud previously.

As mentioned this has worked for my profile - unknown if it is a valid fix please give it a try - hopefully it will work for you.

Hopefully Respawn and/or Microsoft resolve this issue so that this extreme is not required.

Apparently something is glitchy with the cloud storage settings and or the update storage path.

I was having the same problem. Cleared my cache. Restarted my router and my console and it booted right up.

I did what o Pixel Pixie o did and it worked fine - Sign Out, play Titanfall, let it get to the press start screen then Sign In

 

Alright everyone, I've tried a bunch of different "fixes" from a couple forums and here's what just worked for me (3:10pm EST, 5/22/14):

1-From the dashboard, click on My Xbox.

2-Select System Settings.

3-Select Storage.

4-Highlight Hard Drive Device.

5-Press Y to select Device Options, then Clear System Cache (leave Xbox 360 on until step 7).

6-Reset your wireless router (leave it unplugged for ~30 seconds).

7-Reboot your Xbox 360.

8-If you're signed in automatically, immediately sign out.

9-Choose "Play Titanfall" from the start screen.

10-Choose "Cancel" if prompted to update, do nothing until you see the "Press Start" screen.

11-Press "Start"

12-Choose your profile and accept the update.

13-The title screen videos should start again once the update is finished.

Voila!

 

Is it possible that someone could snag the update on a USB and put it on the internet? Cause I am having the same problem and have tried everything, and an hour and a half later, it still won't work. What sucks is that it's my birthday today and all I wanted
to do was play a bit of Titanfall before I had work...

EDIT: the second I posted this, the game updated.

 

the fixes suggested above have not worked for me. still can't access the game

 

I'm having the same issue. they've been having software issue from day one. what the deal here?
