    Cannot update my console. Please help!


    My xbox won't install the update that recently came out. I have tried EVERYTHING. All of the suggestions from xbox support and just tried updating with a USB and that did not work either. I keep getting a E102 error. I also couldn't find my OS version in any of the lists I've seen, I'm not sure if that has something to do with it? I'm not too good when it comes to things like this.

    Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Error when trying to update

    taidara - I connected the console directly to my modem, and the update still did not process. I got the same error message. Don't you think that with all this, and the fact that I cannot even update with a usb, that the problem is with the update itself?
    Please help.

    Thanks for the tip, Swash. Yes, if your console has not been on Xbox LIVE lately, please do that so we can make sure your console is updated. If you cannot connect to LIVE, try updating your console manually here:

    I have contacted enforcement team and they told me my console is not banned.

    I can update to 12625 version with a USB disc. but cannot update the console with a newer version,

    My console is very old, I got it before 2009. I have not touched for 3 years. last week, I wanted to buy a kinect, so I turned it on, it prompted me to do a update, then...error...

    Note that phone support has no control over console bans and that bans are not reversed.
