Cannot update Microsoft mahjong

I have 2 computers and both have the same version of windows 10 and both are logged in with the same Microsoft login. One has a new version of Microsoft mahjong (3.1.8012.0) and the other has the old one (2.5.1508.1801). I cannot get the old one to update
to the new version. Because they are different versions, they don't sync with each other. So, whatever I play on the one will not show up on the other. This is the only game I have a problem with. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have tried
to update, but it says that I am up to date (obviously not). I have reset the windows store cache and reinstalled again. I have ran an sfc /scannow with no problems. I have tried to google this, but it doesn't seem to be a common problem. Any suggestions?

can't log in

Just re-installed Microsoft mahjong and like before cannot log into my Microsoft acct.

 

Microsoft Mahjong won't even load past the opening page

cannot get Microsoft mah-jong it keeps coming to Microsoft solitaire collection instead even though page is mahjong

 

Try signing out of the one that is updated and only keep the one that needs the update signed in then sign into the other one. You could also sign out of the one that's already updated and sign into the one that needs the update delete then re-install then
update.

 

That sounded like a good idea and it made sense, unfortunately it did not work. Thanks anyway.
