Cannot update child's parent on Xbox 360 account

Hi, my 9yr old child needs to accept new terms before she can sign in to XBL. As she has a child account a parent needs to approve this. Her parent is currently set-up as her mother who will not sign in as we're separated.

I have added myself as an adult to my wife's Microsoft 'Family' where my child is also in the same 'Family'. Although on the Xbox it will only accept my wife as the approving parent. I have even removed my wife from the family but it still wants her to sign
in and I can't seem to change that.

Does anybody have any clever ideas of how I can change the approving parent so I can approve my daughter's account? If we have to go through asking my wife to sign in every time the terms are updated it will be just too painful.

Unable to add son to xbox one

As above,

Select child
Sign in as parent
get to the 50c card authorisation, add card details
Then get card already exists on account - go through screens - again!!

Then after about 10 minutes updating account it fails with code 45468.7036976521340.5055251569016685

Go to xbox errorhelp - can't find it

Can anybody help please we are pulling our hair out on this

Just to say the card is on account from xbox and also Microsoft accounts linked to the parents account!

Avatar Companion blocked for child account - Parent can't purchase for a kid? Seriously?

So, my daughter wants to purchase an avatar item, Baby Groot Companion, for her avatar from the marketplace store. The item is FREE. She's blocked from doing so by MS due to being a child/teen account. Even though I am her parent, and even though I changed the family settings to allow her to purchase content and even though I have billing setup with MS, she still CANNOT purchase the item. I can't purchase it for her. Seriously?!!

Who in their infinite wisdom decided that FREE content allowed by a parent, can still NOT be purchased by a child? Come to think of it, if this is the case, why is there no way for a parent to purchase content and gift it to a child account?

Thanks for the support message.

You may need to sign into your wifes account. Would it be possible for her to just let you sign into her account and approve your request to join the family? You can manage your family settings by going to
http://account.live.com/ clicking on "Family" then select "Add a child" You MAY want to try adding your daughter to your own account as a child and then removing it from your wifes account. If that doesn't
work, try having your wife remove your daughters account, then you adding the child account by following those steps above. You can also try following these steps in this article below:

The issue is that you are doing it on a child accoujt

Have a parental account or use a xbox 360

Child accounts cannot make purchases of m rated games without parental permissions on a consoke

And the xbox one parental settings aren't compatible with xbox 360 as there is no unrestricted settings that's why it cannot be made on the xbox one on child accounts

So the xbox one uses the Web interface not the 360

Child accounts cannot make 360 purchases regardless of parental permissions from the web

You must use a 360 console if a child account or a parental account has to make the purchase

You can if you are an adult account for anything above pg if you are getting your account cannot make this type of purchase please purchase on your console

If you are a child account you must sign in onto a 360 to make the purchase to verify parental permissions or have a parent download it on their profile

This is a requirement for child accounts and xbox one parental settings don't apply for 360 games

It is the issue one that error only comes up when a child account does not have the permissions to download the contrnt

Setting your account to adult is not changing your child account to an adult

It's telling you you cannot download it because you need to use parental permissions which only work on the xbox 360

You also.need a creditcard to.download.the content

Xbox one permissions do not work with 360 games

As mentioned you need to use an parental account or use your xbox 360
