Cannot update Age of Empires III in Microsoft Store

Hi,

An update has been released for Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. It is not being recognised as available for download on my Microsoft Store. I would like help making this work. I'd note:

My system fills the system requirements - I am sure; it is a new laptop and has all the requisite requirements

I have tried all options listed online. Specifically, this issue has been raised before here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...-edition/5333eccb-5ef9-4dca-9f85-847cdb591be3 ---> I have tried the things listed here

I have rebooted several times/tried different internet etc.

I do not want to reinstall the game - This is an update and should be able to be installed regularly

Answers to regular questions always asked:

May I know when did you notice this issue? --> ~4 days ago when the update came out

Can you tell us if the issue occurs when trying to update other apps on your computer using the Microsoft Store? --> Not that I've noticed

May I know the troubleshooting steps that you have tried so far? --> As above

Hoping someone can help - seriously frustrating and not acceptable within terms of product purchase!

Hi there Will welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had this issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

I would like to clarify, did you purchase the game through Microsoft Store? If yes, kindly make sure that you're signed in under the account where the game was purchased.

Please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders, locate the game and make sure that the status is "completed". Once confirmed, sign out on your Microsoft Store App as well as your Xbox App, and then quit both apps before signing back in under the correct Microsoft account.
