Cannot turn off sound on daily challenges.

I purchased the premium edition specifically so that I could play solitaire while I listen to some daily podcasts without being interrupted by advertisements. Recently my main computer stopped working and I had to switch to my laptop while it is in the shop.
Since switching, every time when I start and finish the individual daily challenges the sound comes on loudly, even though I have both the sound effects and music turned all the way down. I did not have this problem on my other computer and both are running
on Windows 10. I would just mute the sound on the laptop except I listen to the podcasts though the same laptop that I play the game on. So when I finish each one the sound is loud enough to make it so I cannot hear my podcast for those few seconds it goes
for and it really interrupts my train of thought.

Daily Challenges

When I play my daily challenges it is not rewarding my points and also the screen goes off. I cannot play daily challenges. Please help.

 

daily challenges do not load

Cannot play the daily challenges since November 2016. No error messages. When I click on the daily challenge, mahjong will just minimize the icon and nothing else happens. Help !

 

I was wrong. It isn't just on the daily challenges. It's pretty much any time sounds come on outside of the actual gameplay. This is the sound of fireworks after winning a game of Klondike as well as sounds as I go to choose a game the Star Club and so on.
