Cannot Transfer Game Data to External Storage

It will not work as the transfer cable is only for copying or moving data. It cannot be used for game installs or in-game as a storage device.

You cannot transfer game saves however all you need to do is log into your new XBox and all your saves will be there when it downloads your profile. ( "Any data for your games and apps (preferences, saved

As for physical to digital you will need to rebuy the game unfortunately.

G'day Gerald! Xbox One does not support external storage, so unfortunately the process of transferring that data will not likely work. If you'd like the game on both consoles, then it needs to be downloaded to both consoles.

you want to go to settings, system then storage

from there you can transfer all your games and apps tho the external

everything else like save data will carry over automatically

I think they meant for external storage, not data transfer
