Cannot talk in chat

Discus and support Cannot talk in chat in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; we have an xbox one s which all of a sudden does not work with any headset.     Cannot talk in chat


    we have an xbox one s which all of a sudden does not work with any headset. You can hear the char through the tv but not headset nor can you talk.

    weve tried alot of trouble shooters and guides to no avail and weve tried about three different headsets. My boy is really ulset aa weve bought another headset for Christmas and still no. Whats the solution microsoft?

    Hey there Nudge, is this issue experienced by using the Controller Headphone Jack? If so you may need to change batteries in the controller and check for an update.

    If you're talking about chatting online then unfortunately, yes. The audio codecs between the two consoles is different so people cannot chat between the two.
