Cannot sync wireless controllers after after warranty repair

The title is pretty straightforward. I got this red ring of death problem with my Xbox 360 slim so I sent it to repair. So, the first thing when I received it today was to check if it works, but I cannot connect any of my wireless controllers. I've tried
the troubleshooting tips with pulling out batteries and putting them back, hitting sync button on the console itself didn't help either. I get a green light on my controller when I turn it on, but the console seems not to recognize it. The paper I got with
the repaired console said it might be a problem to connect wireless controllers at first and suggested to take a look into Xbox support on the internet. None of those tips worked...

If none of those steps work and you have tried other controllers, it could be that the console needs to be sent for repair: Warranty and service

Xbox one controller disconnecting issue

Yes it true we have them repaired due to controllers go bad. At times after updates the software can cause issues and if unable to update properly and that , then they will need a repair. I have two controllers that don't work with my headsets and a third
does. It all happened after an update. They are older controllers though. The warranty on controllers is 90 days. If your controller is still not functioning after all the troubleshooting then I recommend a repair.

Also I would like you try these three controllers on a friend or family console if they connect it could be your console that needs the repair.

When did you opt out of the preview program? It takes about a week to fully be out.

You can try to press the sync button on the console first and vice versa (pressing the sync button on the controller first.) I had it happen one time and I just unplugged everything (all wires, hard drives ect.) and it worked for me.

Check to make sure that your controller is configured properly and make sure that it is set for player one and not player two. If your controller keeps playing up after syncing it correctly with your xbox then I suggest sending it in for a repair or service
if it is still under warranty and/or asking for a replacement handset under the warranty.

It seems here that you're experiencing an issue concerning the console not syncing controllers properly and not keeping them synced as well.

If this concerns multiple controllers, the console may be the root cause to the issue being experienced here.

It is still a recommendation to attempt following our Xbox One wireless controller solution support article,
and if after this is attempted with no resolution, it would then be recommended to try
repairing the Xbox One console.
