    Cannot sync data from the cloud at the moment...


    Hi,

    All of a sudden my Xbox One won't sync any disc based games, now I cannot access any saves whatsoever. Digital copies sync immediately but all the hours I have put into the Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight seems to have been lost. I spoke with MS support and
    they advised me to put it to the forums and then this -

    "Uninstall the game and remove the profile. 2.Hard boot the console. 3.Reboot. 4.Add profile and game DO NOT START THE GAME. 5.Disconnect from the internet. 6.Start the game. 7.Play long enough to generate a save. 8.Connect. 9.Play game again the console
    will at this point detect the difference between the cloud save and the console save. Asking which save you want to use. If you select the local the new save will overwrite the cloud starting you over but also getting you onto a new uncorrupted save."



    Does anyone have any advice or possible solution?

    Your saved games data is stored in the cloud as well as the HDD if you delete the saved games data from HDD by accident it will sync from the cloud, at the moment there is a service alert which could be causing your problem.

    I am getting the same issue with Dark Souls 2 Scholar of the First Sin, essentially the game works perfectly but the saved data cannot sync from the cloud storage. One thing that was recommended for me to do that I have seen on another thread here is to
    delete local saves and power cycle my Xbox, after doing both of these things I still cannot get my data to sync from the cloud and I have deleted it from local storage.

    You cannot, it only gets from the cloud when you run the game again will sync with the cloud and downloads the save data.

    From all I can tell, I believe the problem is that my cloud data for Microsoft Ultimate Word Games is corrupted, and that's preventing me from syncing. Is there a way to erase my Cloud Copy, and then sync my local data back up to the cloud?

    Hi SwitchinXbox,

    Thanks for coming to the forums again. It seems that your last save from the cloud was not your most recent save that you had saved locally. If this happens, it's usually due to the local save not being properly synced with Xbox Live servers and a soft factory
    reset will clear local cache so your games will re-sync the last save you had from the cloud to your local drive.

    Syncing your local saved data to the cloud is done whenever you properly quit the game or restart your Xbox which closes all open games. Keeping a game on standby and then factory resetting the Xbox will not overwrite the data properly to the cloud and it
    won't have the most recent save you had saved locally. Also, you cannot go into your cloud and get a save from an earlier date because the data is constantly overwritten when the game is closed and the data syncs to have the data up to date using an automatic
    process.
