    Cannot switch accounts on the Windows 10 Xbox app


    I've seen many discussions about an issue where the Xbox App for PC will automatically sign you into the wrong account. If re-installing the app doesn't work for you, or you don't want to deal with the Registry Editor then you can do this:

    go to pc settings > accounts > email and accounts > then remove the account you don't want signing in.

    After this restart your PC.

    If the above doesn't work for you going through the Registry Editor should work.

    press WIN+R and type in "regedit" in the box and go to this key path > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft then delete the file named "XboxLive"

    and restart your PC

    You should now be able to open the Xbox app and select sign-in which should prompt you with and account selection screen.
