    Cannot Switch accounts in the Xbox Game APP in Windows 11


    Hi,

    I have a primary and a secondary Microsoft account and in Xbox Game APP in Windows i want to switch to another account, in which i have bought Forza Horizon 4 and i want to play with the cloud saves there. When i press Sign In the Switch Account button does not respond so i cannot enter the credentials to login with the other one. Any help?

    We appreciate your coming to the Xbox community, and we're sorry you're having this issue. Before defining that it may be a problem with windows 11 since it is still in the preview version and that the official launch will only be October 5th, I ask you to do the following.

    Go to Windows settings

    Applications

    Applications and Features

    Search for the Xbox App

    Click on it

    Advanced options

    Tap repair

    If it doesn't work, do the same procedure again, but this time chooses to restore.

    I'm currently experiencing the same issue and the above fix does not work. I'm on the latest update. Can you also help me with this?

    To switch Xbox account on Windows 11, try the following steps:

    Close the Xbox app.

    Go to Windows Settings.

    Click on Accounts.

    Select Email & accounts.

    Click on the Microsoft account associated with the Xbox app.

    Click on Manage.

    Click on Remove.

    Re-add the Microsoft account you want to use.

    Launch the Xbox app and sign in with the new account.

    If the above steps don't work, you can also try clearing the Xbox app's cache by following these steps:

    Close the Xbox app.

    Go to Windows Settings.

    Click on Apps.

    Find the Xbox app and click on it.

    Click on Advanced options.

    Click on Reset.

    Launch the Xbox app and sign in with the new account.

    These steps should help you switch Xbox accounts on Windows 11.

    Is the Xbox PC app working on Windows 10 anymore?

    Derek, the last 4 digits of my OS are 2251. I have no new Windows 10 updates, only the Windows 11 upgrade. If the only way to get my games to download on the Xbox Desktop app is to upgrade to Windows 11, then I'm uninstalling it and switching to Steam fully.

    Cannot Switch Xbox Account - Windows 11 PC

    I was able to get it to work with signing out of the xbox app and the Microsoft store then signing in with the second account through the store first. Then logging in on the xbox app it gave me the option to pick a different account.
