Cannot stream xbox to windows 10

    Cannot stream xbox to windows 10


    I have streamed to my surface pro 4 before, but now I cannot. I cant even find the xbox on the xbox app. It wont even connect when I type in the IP address. What gives? They are on the same subnet and they are running through the same router.

    Hello,

    So my Xbox One and Xbox One App on Windows 10 are both up to date. I can connect to Xbox One and even control the Xbox One from my PC. However, I CANNOT stream!! When I click on Stream I get a message that either Xbox One or Xbox One App are not up to date
    and it cannot stream, however both are up to date.

    My Xbox on Windows version is 8.8.15003.00000

    Xbox One version is 10.0.10586.1016 (th2_xbox_rel_1510.151118-2147)fre

    Cannot stream xbox to windows 10

    What I have done to fix a similar problem was go in to my modem and reset the modem to factory settings and also reset the firewall to factory settings i just did this last night after talking to xbox support for an hour and making a post on this forum
    they did not help so i did this and now i can stream again

    XBOX 360 and Game Streaming

    Are you trying to stream a game from Xbox 360 to Windows 10? That's not supported - the media center of old was for streaming videos and songs.

    There is a way to stream Xbox 360 games to Windows 10, but it involved using an Xbox One and playing the backwards compatible Xbox 360 on the Xbox 360, then streaming the Xbox One to Windows 10.

    Hi, no it's not possible, as most laptops have a hdmi out connection, not an hdmi in connection. The only way you can use a laptop as a monitor is to use Windows 10 Xbox app and stream the xbox one to Windows 10 via that method. As you say you have Windows
    7, so you cannot do it anyway.
