    When trying to play any game from Xbox Game Pass (Desperados III, Dead By Daylight, Grounded) on PC, error like this shows up. Reinstalling the games doesn't work. I tried restarting multiple times. I have up to date windows. My NAT type is moderate.

    I tried a solution mentioned here: Xbox Gaming services incorrect function - Microsoft Community but it did not help.

    I had a look into the logs. The download is successful but the Store is unable to install:

    I don't think the game is the cause of your mistake. In any case, try to stop the game installation. Uninstall it. Fix corrupt system files if there are any. Then try installing Gears 5 again

    New PC Installation of Windows - Unable to Install Xbox Games

    Jumping in to say I also have the same issue as OP, cannot install any new games from Xbox app or Windows Store. I also receive Error Code 0x80070002 when trying to install a game. This is clearly an issue with the Xbox app, probably a new update as this just started happening within the past week for me.

    Please release a fix/update because the Xbox/Store app is clearly non-functional right now!!!!
