Cannot sign into xbox app on windows 11

Whenever i try to sign into the xbox app on windows 11, it tells me access denied, and doesn't let me sign in at all. I've restarted my computer, restarted the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and nothing works. Is there any way to fix this problem?

I understand. You cannot sign in to the Xbox Console Companion app too?

Also, are you running Windows 10 or 11?

Hi, I'm on windows ten but I was reading this in an attempt to fix my similar problem. it seems like gaming services on my pc are disabled, and I am unable to re-enable them

How would I fix this? thanks

These steps can help you, give it a try.
Press the Windows Button then type Services.
Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.
Then select Run as Administrator
Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:
IP Helper
Xbox Live Auth Manager,
Xbox Live Game Save,
Xbox Live Networking Service,
Gaming Services.
Do this with each of the services listed above.
Right-click over the service and select Properties.
Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.
If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

Click Apply and OK to save changes. Restart your PC and try again.

I have this exact same problem, and I can confirm that this is isolated for the XBOX app only.

I've been going thru even single solution on the internet and cannot find a solution.

I'm on the latest version with all updates in Windows 11.

Xbox app signs in, 3 seconds later signs out automatically, and none of the sign in buttons work. They are all broken.

Hi Danny!

Unfortunately, you cannot play Xbox games on Windows 8.1. It requires Windows 10/11, v.22H1 or higher.
