Cannot sign into Wifi via additional authentication

I live in a student dorm that requires a sign in to use the wifi. This has not been problem until I needed to change internet accounts used on the xbox. When I try to switch accounts, the window closes within 5 seconds of clicking any button on the sign
in page within the browser and takes me back to the network selection tab in the xbox system. IS there anyway of solving this issue? thanks

I can't connect to my wifi every time I try it says additional authentication needed and my wifi is working no on my other devices in my house

 

Additional authentication

Are you connecting in a student dorm WiFi, or an apartment complex that provides WiFi to the inhabitants? It might be, that when you first connected your other devices to the network, you were presented with a welcome page,
where you had to authenticate your devices by agreeing to the WiFi's terms of use, or provide a code or password you got from your landlord or whoever runs the WiFi.

Since that has to be only once, you might have forgotten about it.

If you try to connect the Xbox One to that network, it might require you to visit the portal page again, and authenticate the Xbox access with the WiFi.

 

Actually you need to use the wifi password anytime you change accounts for the simple reason that the line you are using is firewalled

 

There is an issue with the Edge browser crashing unexpectedly. It MIGHT be, that while you try to change the accounts on the WiFi authentication page, the browser crashes and drops you back to the network settings.

You could use this following trick as a workaround, be aware however, that you can NOT use your computer and Xbox at the same time with this.

On your computer, find it's MAC address of the WiFi interface that connects to the protected WiFi.

To find the MAC address (or "physical address"), press Windowskey + R and type "ncpa.cpl" to open the control panel for the network interfaces.

Right click on your WLAN interface and choose Status.

Click on the Details button, and find the line for the physical address. It should look something like this:

Now sign in with the PC to the WiFi properly, and make sure you are connected.

Write the MAC address of your PC down, and in the network settings on the Xbox One set the MAC address of the WiFi card to the one of your PC.

Shut down your PC, and then use the Xbox with the PC's MAC address.

How are you my friend? What you want to do is MAC spoofing. Its where you take your laptop or desktop computer and go into the internet properties where you have your wifi set up.

What your gonna go is get your MAC address settings, your IP address settings and your DNS settings off your internet properties.
