Cannot sign into profle after transfering to new console

I transfered my profile from an old x360 console to a new one. In order to sign into the profile it is requiring my microsoft account login. When i do so it informs me that the email or password didn't work. I reset the password earlier today and allowed
several hours for the server to catch up and the error remains. How do i access my profile now.

Hi, to transfer content licences associated with your console you must sign in to the console with the profile used to purchase the content. Once signed in go to Settings > account > billing options and select licence transfer following the on screen instructions to transfer the licences to the new console so other profiles can use the content. Content can not be transfered across profiles only across consoles - hope this helps

 

After hard drive transfer can't download my profile.

Today the 13th I got done transfering my 20g to 120g hard drive. I thought it went right. Now I couldnt sign into my xbox live profile, so I tried to download it and it deleted my profile. Now I have nothing, I cannot connect to xbox live, and i cannot
download my profile or anything. What in the heck is going on?

Same issue. The only email linked to the account is the one i have. I don't recal having ever linked the profile to a microsoft account, since i never used xbox live

 

Couple questions

1. You said you changed the password did you change it before you put your profile on the new console?

2. I DO NOT want to know what the password is just is the password longer then 16 characters?

360 consoles password box is limited to 16 characters so if you made your password longer then 16 characters and go to type in the new password that is longer then 16 characters since the box is limited to 16 characters it will stop at the 16th character
and when you hit submit it will say your password is incorrect.

So if your password is longer then 16 characters you will have to change it to something less then 16 characters if you want to use your new 360.

Once you change the password the new password takes affect immediately so you would not have to wait any amount of time.

 

1. I changed the password after being prompted to input the password in after transfering and my only guess which password it would be not working.

2. It is not over 16 characters.

 

Can you sign into xbox.com with the same credentials?

 

Did you remove your account from the old Xbox 360 first? This can cause some account transfer issues.

 

I followed the directions at Move Xbox Profile with Flash Drive | Xbox 360 Console. So no, i did not.

 

I have moved the profile back to the original console. I was able to sign into the profile and see the email it was connected to. The problem now is that the linked email no longer exists. It has been inactive for so long it has been deleted.

 

Hi, maybe you have two step verification set up, in that case you'd need to either create the app password to use in place of your regular password or disable two step and use your regular password.
