Cannot sign into profile when playing downloaded Xbox 360 compatible games on Xbox One

Hi all,

After a long, unproductive talk with Xbox support, I'm curious if anyone here can help me. Basically, I'm trying to play Gears of War: Judgement, one of the three Xbox 360 titles I got for free with my purchase of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.

When I boot the game, I get a message saying I will not be able to save my progress because I am not signed into a profile. I open the 360 dashboard, and see there are no profiles listed under "Sign In". I attempt to download my profile (GT: ),
and get the famous 8015000A error. So basically, I cannot sign in to the 360 game, and therefore cannot save progress or get achievements, making the game effectively useless.

I have this same exact problem with all 360 titles (no physical disks), including Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, Gears of War: Judgement, and Castle Crashers. Support had me do several troubleshooting steps, including deleting a system cache, reinstalling
my profile on the Xbox One, none of which worked. Support confirmed it was not a licensing problem; the game(s) are correctly registered to my profile.

Has anyone had any luck with this issue? It's very frustrating.

Backwards Compatibility: No 360 Profile

So I have an Xbox One, and I have a backwards compatible Xbox 360 game (Deus Ex: Human Revolution) but I never owned an Xbox 360 Console and therefore cannot sign in or save my progress when playing a backwards compatible game. Is there a way around this?

Hi, so I downloaded NBA Jam Fire Edition on my Xbox One. So I launched it and it said disconnected from Xbox Live using the 360 titles, then when I was in the game I tried to sign into my Xbox Live it showed the 360 login screen which I selected to sign in and said sorry this profile can't connect to the Xbox live on this console. Now I just wondering if you are able to sign in for the backwards compatible games or its just you as a continue without save thing. Sorry just was able to find an answers for this. Thanks for any help!

 

Hey there, Blood! Sorry to see that you are running into this. When they had you clear your system cache, did they have you clear out the local 360 Storage on your One as well? Let us know, so that we can give you the proper steps to do that, and look into
other options we have for you.

They did have me clear the local 360 storage multiple times. Unfortunately, that did not alleviate the issue.

It seems that your account's profile is broken on our forums, too. You weren't showing as Gold and your rep/gamerscore wasn't appearing! I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the 360 side of your account.

Because phone or chat support wasn't able to get you sorted out, and based on the evidence I have from your forums posts, I've got you sent up to the right people to dig a bit deeper into any Xbox Live profile issues that you may be running into. They should
be reaching out to you over the next few days.

 

I'm having the issues as well. I can't sign in to my profile when trying to play any 360 games on the One. It says tes network connectivity, but when I do it says I'm fully connected. Always the same every time.

 

So it's finally fixed, thought I would post the solution here, as strange as it was.

A friend of mine had signed into my Xbox One with his profile, in order to download and play a Games for Gold game for us to play. Fast forward, 3 weeks, I'm having this problem above. I delete his profile from the console. Turns out, he hadn't signed into
his own console for the whole 10ish days I was having the login issue. When he logged into his OWN home console, for some reason, I was able to sign into 360 games again on my XB1.

Not sure why that fixed the problem, but it seemed like the console was having some sort of super strange authentication issue. Never letting someone sign in on my console again, that's for sure!
