cannot sign in to xbox, shows the error 0x89235107

First is to change the password of your account by going to: https://account.microsoft.com > Security> Change my password.

Once done changing the password, try to sign in to these websites:

https://xbox.com

https://account.microsoft.com

If you are able to sign in, it means your account is all good.

Kindly proceed with the following troubleshooting steps:

Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Locate and restart the following services if they are not running:

Xbox Live Network Service

Xbox Live Saved Games

Xbox Live Authentication Manager

Xbox Accessory Management

Set their startup type to Automatic

And then run PowerShell commands. Please open PowerShell as an administrator and run the following commands:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

This will reinstall the Xbox app and related services

Next is to reinstall gaming services. To do this kindly open PowerShell as an administrator and run the following commands:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers -Package $_.PackageFullName}

Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"

This will reinstall the Gaming Services app

Once done kindly try to sign into the Xbox App and give an update.

It cannot be like this. Why we have to do recovery reinstall and so on? Problem is with Xbox app. On other webistes people recommend to uninstall Edge, then repair Xbox, and Xbox Live app.
Even if I'm log in into Xbox app, still during launching game (Football Manager 2023) Xbox shows 0x89235107

Hello Samy, first thank you for the attention and fast response. Doing as you said I downloaded an optional update that was pending, and about the steps above I executed them in order but I still have the same error popping up when trying to play the game.

These steps can help you, give it a try.

Check for updates on Windows Update, update everything including optional/additional updates.

1. Logout from Xbox app and Microsoft Store app

2. Look for the Xbox app and Microsoft Store app in the Windows menu, right-click, click app settings and then click terminate, restore and reset. Do this for the game too.

3. Clear the store cache type ''wsreset'' in the Windows bar, run as admin, and wait for the screen to close and open the store automatically.

4. Open the Microsoft Store app, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner>downloads updates>get updates and update everything.

5. Restart your PC, log in to both apps and see if that solves the problem.

Press the Windows Button then type Services.

Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.

Then select Run as Administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper

Xbox Live Auth Manager,

Xbox Live Game Save,

Xbox Live Networking Service,

Gaming Services.

Do this with each of the services listed above.

Right-click over the service and select Properties.

Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.

If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

Click Apply and OK to save changes.

Then try the game again, please.

If the problem persists, follow this path, and don't worry if the folder has different characters.

C:\Users\[your profile]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker

Delete the Accounts and Cache folders, restart your PC and try again.
