Cannot sign in to Xbox profile after reset

I turned my console on as normal tonight and tried to open the game I’ve been playing, a little box popped up that said Bye signing you out. So my game wouldn’t open because I was not signed in to my profile. I went to sign back in to my profile but it just wouldn’t let me. I restarted the console. On restart I was once again signed in and so I tried my game again, and again I got a little message saying bye signing you out. Again I was unable to sign in. Restarted again and tried a different game. I was signed out again. So I searched on here for advice. I reset the console. I powered down the console and unplugged it for 20s and then plugged it in and turned it on. The issue remained

More googling said to try a soft restart but keeping games and data. I did this, and then the console needed setting up. I used the app on my phone to set the console up. However despite this seeming successful, on the actual console I am now signed out and cannot sign in and my profile is not there to choose anymore, just add new. When I tried to sign in by adding new it just shows the grey strip with the loading circle then it just goes away and shows the Home Screen signed out. I restarted again and reset up the console through the console and not my phone and the same thing happens. It will not let me sign in. In the settings it says there are no accounts associated with the console but when I try to add a new account it just shows the loading circle then goes back to the Home Screen. My internet connection is fine. I literally cannot sign in and so I can’t access any of the games I’ve paid for etc. I can login to my account online in my phone no issue.

I'm sorry you are experiencing issues signing in to your account.

Would you mind trying another power cycle? only this time, please do the same with your network hardware. Like this:

• Press and hold your console's power button until it shuts down.
• Unplug the console's power cord for 5 minutes. If you have the original Xbox One, you'll have to unplug the power supply unit from both the console and the outlet.
• Turn your modem/router off and unplug them for 5 minutes.
• Plug everything back together and check if the issues persist.

If that doesn't work, I'd like to ask you some questions:

- May I ask which Xbox model you are using?

- Is your console connected to the internet via WiFi or network cable?

- Are you able to access your console's settings menu? If so, could you go to Settings > General > Network Settings, and let me know what you see under "Current Network Status"?

same thing here. can sign in main profile. The Second profile got the loading spinning wheel and waited for 4-5 minutes. I did it twice. Then just did a hard reset. Now I can sign in the second profile. Tried to sign in I a third profile and again had
the loading spinning wheel. Did same exact thing-hard reset. But it didn't work. Tried the hard reset 7-8 times and still cannot sign in on third profile.

Hey there SmittyBlack25,

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to hopefully get your console back to operating as intended. I can totally understand how this could be pretty distressing a situation for anyone but hopefully we can figure it out. I suggest either
trying after connecting to another network, or after trying an
offline update of the console as it could be a problem with the console getting information from Xbox Live itself.

When/if you get the chance, give those steps a shot and let us know if that helped.

What issue are you facing exactly?

Are you able to sign in on the Xbox website?

Do you get an error message when you sign in on your console?

After making that post, i tried resetting my wireless router again. I tried connecting to wireless (since i was using a wired connection) still no luck. But then i plugged the wired connection back in and it started working again! I downloaded some games,
played last night and then today when logging in i am back at square one (error code 0x800704cf). it tells me i am not connected to the internet but when i run the network diagnostics it tells me everything is fine (although double NAT detected).
