Cannot sign in to xbox one profile error code 0x80048883

I am told to try again in a few minutes. Initially I thought it was because I had my xbox 360 on at nearly the same time I turned the xbox one on, so I figured the overlap might be the reason I couldn't sign in. However I have waited a copious amount of
minutes and it hasn't been fixed. I thought I saw an alert that this was an acknowledged problem, but I have yet to see it again. I just hope it gets fixed soon

On my xbox one I can't sign myself in my brother on his xbox one can't sign in we keep getting 0x80048883 error code WTF is going on

 

anyone at moment can't sign into there gt on xbox live?

I just randomly got the same message. Thought my toddler might have trolled me somehow, but sounds like you're having the exact same problem. Let me know if you find a solution!

 

Same problem im pretty sure it something with xbox live because i try to connect with my ethernet and it signs in with my profile and the things try to load and doesn't load. Was watching netflix all morning and just turned it on and this.

 

Just got it too. Seems like the whole system is down.

(EDIT) Looking through twitter, seems the X1 Servers are indeed down.

I've been having the same issue the past 2 hours. Talked to a rep for half an hour. Did all the troubleshooting and nothing. She came yo the conclusion that I need to change my WiFi from wep to WPA. The only thing is, if that's the case, why does it affect
me and not my two other roommates who are both using X1 right now. This needs to get fixed. For God's sake, I just bought this last night...

 

Also, I even went so far as yo factory reset and now I can't even add my profile like before. What is this?

I could sign in an hour ago and I turned off my console for a little bit to eat and when I came back it keeps saying this that stupid message. My connection works and i signed into the website. I also tried resetting my router and setting up the network
again. Did anybody get it to work?

 

Same problem here mate (0x80048883) I've waited, reset my router, turned the X1 on and off several times and finally attempted to delete and recover my profile which now also doesn't respond and I receive yet another error code (0x80a40002) which also doesn't
seem to be recognised by Xbox support.

Seems to be a wide spread issue, so guess we will all just have to wait to come home from work tomorrow before we can unwind, makes that £500+ seem like a bad investment doesn't it.

Yeah I can't get in either. I hope they find a solution because this is frustrating. First my call of duty game won't play and now this error comes up and won't go away. I powercycled the console , cleared the persistent storage and still nothing. Hope they
update us soon.
