Cannot sign in to Xbox App

I am unable to sign in to the Xbox app. I am signed in to the Windows Store with my MS Acct, but I am using a local account for Windows sign in. I'd rather not associate my MS Acct with Windows Sign-In.

When I click on the "Sign In" button in the app, the app responds but does not open another window or transition to a dialogue box asking for credentials. It's like my PC is trying to pull the info from MS Store or elsewhere, but it never successfully grabs
the info. I can even click on the "Get Xbox Game Pass for PC" and no transition happens.

There are no errors in Event Viewer, I've tried restarting the PC, Xbox networking services shows I have an Open NAT and Teredo successfully connected.

Any ideas?

I signed out on Microsoft Store App, and then signed back in using the same Microsoft account, but I cannot sign in on Xbox App it says, "We couldn't sign you in to Xbox live " and gives this error number: 0x8015DC0B.

Make sure you Windows is updated fully and the try again.

To log into the app you will need to use your MS account to get the information you need for that account. I am not sure I am understanding what you are trying to do. Maybe you can explain it more fully.

I had the same problem running xbox games on windows. The sign in problem had been ongoing for about a week. At 10:30pm ET this evening a BIOS update was pushed to my PC. Once the update was completed, xbox game returned to working
completely correctly. If you receive a bios update, complete the steps.
