Cannot sign in to Xbox app (PC), sign in window immediately closes itself

for me the xbox beta PC app will open and when I click sign in, it signs me in with the correct account, and then I close the pop up window and the app is not signed in. I can hover over the sign in drop down and do it 500 times but it never actually lets
me sign in.

I cannot sign into the Windows Xbox app, as it gives me error code 0x80070520 and the troubleshooting site itself says there is no solution. I would really like to play Forza Horizon 4 which I purchased today. Works fine on my Xbox One but needs the Xbox
app to work on PC.

Hi Daniel, in the Windows Store you can search for the "Xbox App (beta)" and install that and that might work better for you. If troubleshooting the normal app doesn't work, that could be a workaround for you.

Perfect. You mentioned about whatever app you are trying to sign in, does it give the same issue as immediately closes?

Well all you have to do is relogin into your windows live id

Windows live Ids are never closed immediately it takes 120days before hotmail closes an account

It is reactivated when you sign into it again
