Cannot sign in iOS

  1. Cannot sign in iOS


    I've been playing Microsoft Solitaire Collection on my laptop for over a year and got excited when I discovered it was available on iOS. I downloaded it on my phone, got the premium subscription, and was delighted. But now when I go to sign in on the app
    it crashes. My app is up to date. My iOS is up to date. And I even did a factory reset on my iPhone 6. Help!

    Hey there, Versed!

    I'm sorry to see any launching issues! To check to ensure it's not Xbox as a whole on your phone, have you downloaded the Xbox App yet? Download that, sign in, and see if it works just fine for you. We do have a known issue where the Xbox App has been crashing
    to the home on iOS devices, so I want to make sure this isn't related.

  6. Interesting! We tested it out here and it launches, but we don't have Premium on our version. I'm wondering if that's the difference here.

    First, let's try restoring your purchase on the app. You mention that it crashes when you sign in. To clarify, this means that you tap the "Sign in" option after launching the app, correct? You should be able to restore the premium purchase, as something
    funky might be going on with that. If you can launch the app without any issue before signing in, you should see an option under the Menu for "Subscribe to Premium". In there, you should be able to tap "Restore Purchases". This should refresh any weird data
    issues going on with the account's purchase. You may need to uninstall and reinstall the app to see this option. (It may also not even show up, so be aware of that.)

    For me, I have it on Android, Premium went through my phone bill. Did yours go through the same process? I'm wondering if refunding Premium would end up fixing this for you. This would essentially remove Premium from your account. I have the ability to cancel
    my subscriptions through the Play Store on Android. Is there a similar feature on iOS? I would do that before calling up your phone provider to get a refund for Premium.

    Give those a shot and let me know how it goes! I have been chatting with the team that works on the game, and your issue seems to be unique. We'll see what we can do to get it sorted out, though! Cannot sign in iOS :)

  7. There doesn't seem to be an option to restore purchases. I simply have an icon that tells me when my subscription expires (1/14/2018), even after uninstalling and reinstalling. I was able to cancel the subscription, but apparently all that did was make it
    so it doesn't renew next January. It is currently still in effect. Do I need to try to figure out how to get the refund?

    No worries at all! It's a weird situation that even the Casual Suite team hasn't seen before. I would try to figure out how to get a refund for it to see if that would cancel it. However, when you call your phone provider, ask them if they know if refunding
    it would revoke the license in general on their end. I know that it works like that on the Xbox side of things, but since it was a phone purchase it likely would have gone straight through your phone bill or card. To be fair, if you get a refund and it still
    works with Premium, I guess that would be a beneficial error in your favor, right? Cannot sign in iOS ;)

    If you don't get the refund, or the refund doesn't revoke the license for Premium, do you have another account you can sign in with? If you don't, you can always create a new Outlook email and create a gamertag to test it out. I'm wondering if it might be
    specific to your account and not necessarily the app.

  9. Evidently iTunes doesn't have a way to cancel the subscription with immediate effect. They did have me try signing out of my account for the iTunes Store and it made no difference. I don't think it's my account as early on I tried downloading on my iPad
    and was able to sign in there. But since I can only play the challenges on wifi, that sort of defeated the purpose. I've just been using my laptop.

  11. On my phone it doesn't matter if I'm on wifi or not. Tapping on sign on crashes the app. My tablet only has wifi. And no issues with the app there.

  12. Oho! I had missed that part of an update you posted last week. Mornings, right?

    Are the iOS devices both on the same version of iOS? I'm wondering if that's the difference.

    To make sure I'm not missing a step, too, is this how it's failing for you?

    • Open app
    • Tap Sign In at top right
    • App crashes

    Or is it like this?

    • Open app
    • Tap Sign In at top right
    • Tap email of choice to sign in
    • App crashes

    Last resort, if you have a Facebook account, I can push you towards their FB Page there and have you work with their Community Manager. I can give them a head's up, too. I want to make sure I have all the details you want to give them before you do that,
    though. Getting exact steps for this will help out. Cannot sign in iOS :)

    If you don't get the refund, or the refund doesn't revoke the license for Premium, do you have another account you can sign in with? If you don't, you can always create a new Outlook email and create a gamertag to test it out. I'm wondering if it might be
