Cannot set up Xbox. Doesn't recognize my account.

I just bought an Xbox one elite and when going through the set up process and trying to register my account, it does not work. I try to enter my hotmail account which all of my other windows devices are registered with including my new surface, but when
I do, it asks me to create a password and nickname and is basically making me create a new account. It will not let me use my existing account. I have had an account for 10 years, it is working with multiple devices and yet, a brand new Xbox one can't figure
out it exists. Any ideas or suggestions before I take this thing back? Thanks in advance

2 accounts on Xbox Live - Bungie Problem

I have an Xbox 360 and a Xbox One. Knowing that I cannot have the same account playing at the same time I created a 2nd account that I use on the Xbox One. I set up a Bungie account (Destiny)and I cannot join a clan because it cannot link my 2nd account.
I tested this by logging into my Xbox Live account and noticed that it doesn't list my 2nd account either. Everything under Destiny was done under my 2nd account.

How can I link my accounts so that Bungie.net will recognize that I use my 2nd account?

new xbox ones wont let me sign in

every time we try to sign in it doesn't recognize account. We used my grandsons account . I set up new account and tried that. Nothing works

I would honestly call in phone support. The xbox could be trying to "split" your account. It is rare but has happened. There could be something off on your back up proofs. Or could be some other crazy issue. There number is 1-800-4MY-XBOX.

What the hell, my TX-NR626 doesn't even get recognized during the setup!

When I try and set it up manually the Xbox tells me it doesn't know what Onkyo is!

I cannot sign into my account offline because the profile isn't loaded yet. I had to restore my xbox to factory settings so the profile doesn't show up and since I can't sign in at all, I can't change the settings to let it sign in offline. My xbox doesn't
need an update. It is connected to the internet just fine and shows no new updates.

It is a Seagate 2TB for XBox. I did plug it into my laptop and it recognized that it was plugged in by an audible sound but because it is formated for the XBox it doesn't show up. I'm not sure how to run the diagnostic since the XBox doesn't recognize
it.

When I test the connection is gives me no errors.

But when I test the Multiplayer Connection, I get an error.

I literally cannot play anything because I cannot log in to my account. And honestly, keeping my account signed in since I got this console has been a pain...it disconnects my login all the time and no matter how many times kinnect recognizes me ever.

Just tested multiplayer connection again and got "Can't finish multiplayer tests. Back up and try the test again. If it still doesn't work, tehre may be a problem with your network (0x780)

Then it gives me the option of setting up a network.
