Cannot set language to English

Hello

I got the Xbox One released in Switzerland recently. But when I set the Country to Switzerland, I cannot choose English as language.

As a workaround, I've set the Country to U.S. so that English is available. But now the Store doesn't seem to work because of Country mismatch.

Please give us a way to play games in original English!

Language change?

Developers set the language for the region. Supported languages are listed before you purchase the game. If English is not listed then it cannot be set for English. If English is listed there should be an option in the game to set the language.

Live in Germany, but cannot set Xbox One language to English

Hi,

I live in Germany, but I cannot seem to set my Xbox one settings to English. If I change the language to English, the Germany is no longer an option for location. Germany seems to be only available in German language. How can I set my xbox to English despite
my location, and how can I download games in English?

As having language and locale separated is an often requested feature you may want to vote and discuss on this feature at

xbox.uservoice.com/.../6028840-don-t-region-lock-the-languages

as Microsoft collects feedback and suggestions on future improvements there.

You cannot return a digital download they do have a fix you read the description

Dlc languages are set they cannot be changed

You have to download the correct one listed in their description

Each one is localized every country has set languages they support you look at the marketplace and read the description French is FR English is EN Also the description is in the language they are set for

if english is not offically supported in the region of the account you cannot change to it

once set a region of an account cannot be changed

when i disconnect from XBL the language become english , when i connect its back to french ??

((To change the language: Settings > System > Console Settings > Language and Locale > Language > Select the language you want.

You can not change the region on your console and you can't transfer a gamerscore)

this option don't change the dashboard language .

Best rule of thumb is you usually have to go by the language of the region of your account

Every disk has a set amount of languages and rare are choosable languages if it says English it will be english it would be harder to find a english copy in an non english region however unlezs you get it from an importer

Certain games cannot be imported though usually due to usk bans depends on the game and yes it is an jailable offence to import gamez that are banned in germany
