Cannot send messages on Xbox one S

All I’m going to say is good luck. I haven’t been able to send any messages on Xbox one or the app ever since I bought my Xbox One S like 5 years ago. I can only send messages from the 360 or the 360 emulator on the One. I have contacted Microsoft over a
dozen times about it and I keep getting the same run around. I have done everything they told me to do and then some to no avail. If you or anyone does find a fix... please let me know. Thanks

If you haven't give those steps a try.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what does your NAT type display as?

This info could shed some light on what exactly you are experiencing.

I have followed every step in the walk through. I also followed what many reps told me to do including reseting my Xbox. Ive changed email addresses and much more. My rep is perfect so it’s not a communication ban. My NAT is completely open as well.

If the steps provided by XBF Esteban R didn't resolve the issue we believe it to be originating in the network port since it doesn't seem to be coming from the console. We suggest (if it hasn't been done already) to look into
PortForwarding the router since this would stabilize the connection and make it stronger! Give it a shot and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other issue or inquiry!

 

It’s not from the port. It has something to do with my account. I know this as i can send messages from my other account. Plus port 80 and other have been opened.

• What is the error message and code you are receiving when sending out messages? (from the Xbox one s)
• Please attempt to remove your account from the Xbox and then
  power cycle your console before re-adding your account. (make sure you know your email and password before removing the account)
• When exactly did you remove or change your email, because the changes can take within 24-48 hours.
  
• Please try to adjust your privacy settings.

I get different error messages on the app/Xbox One and Xbox.com On Xbox and App it says check account and the fix messaging site. On Xbox.com it says Error an unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later. It has said the same thing for years now
after following all steps on the Fix messages page, all the reps I talked to (at least a dozen) including deleting my profile and hard reseting multiple times. I changed my email months ago. Also my privacy is completely open. The last rep I talked to said
he had no clue why it would be doing this and that he was looking into it and would keep in touch but never did.

 

I also can’t post in the looking for group section or share game clips.

I know that the message it gives you when trying to send a message doesn't seem to mention to check this, but this has caused a few headaches for others before when trying to send messages. I recommend to check the reputation of the account, when doing so
it will have you verify your account Microsoft does this to make sure it's not a 'spam' account.

Try this:

1. Sign in at
   account.live.com/reputationcheck.
2. Add your phone number, then select Send code.
3. Get the code from the text message sent to your phone, enter it on the webpage, and select
   Submit.
4. If you’re using your Xbox, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to turn it off, then turn it on and sign back in. If you’re on a PC or mobile device, sign out of the Xbox app, then sign back in.
   

 

I’ve checked this multiple times and have even verified it with Microsoft. They even stated that my rep is untarnished.

 

I’ve Hard reset the Xbox multiple times even after deleting my profile and re-installing it.
