    Cannot select anything from home screen!?!?!


    Hi, I have had my Xbox one for a few months (not played it a hell of a lot tbh) and today I cannot launch anything from the home screen.

    The A button appears to be 'firing blanks'. Basically when I try to click to sign in or launch an app it makes the noise that it has been selected but doesn't actually do anything!

    All other controller functions work. I only have one pad so cannot even use my system.

    I have tried to co tact online support but it refuses me access!

    I have tried all troubleshooting, hard reset etc. Plugged pad in with usb also but still no use.

    Please advise.

    When live is down games don't work?

    I understand I can't sign in, but I cannot even select my game from my home screen. It makes the noise when I hit "A" on it but does not load the game, does not load anything from my home screen. Is this normal when Live is down? Can't even play offline?

    double tapping the home button already opens the menu selection, is the screen shot just added to this to select from in that menu?

    Cannot select anything from home screen!?!?!

    Can you try holding the power button on the console until it shuts down and then unplug everything from the console for 5 minutes to see if that helps?

    Mine is doing the same thing also. The controller wont respond, but when it finally does and I choose an app or a game nothing happens. I am in the alpha ring and it says I am signed in but the panel on the right hand side says connect to xbox live as if
    Im not connected to the internet. MS needs to fix this pronto. I cant even get to oneguide to simply watch TV and Im missing out on For Honor..

    I'm having the same problem. I'm part of the insider program too and when I get to the home screen it won't allow me to do anything. When i hold the home button on the controller I can't even select the option to shut off my console. Please fix
    I am having the exact same issue and got an error message that there is a more lengthy discussion about 0x80070102. This have happened to many people and seems so far no answer from Microsoft. WTH

    I similar problem. And when I hit home I have some options but the cursor won't move.

    I think I solved it by deleting my profile and downloading it again
