Cannot see external drive after last update

    Cannot see external drive after last update


    After I installed the last update (about a week ago) my 2Tb external drive is no longer detected, it spins up but just isn't shown in the storage screen, I've put it in a caddy and attached it to a PC (it was previously in a side-connected box) and
    that sees it fine although it obviously cant read the partitions properly. Anyone else seen this? any advice?

    Serious External Hard Drive Issues for Xbox One

    I have the same issue.... My external drive worked since months.... After the last update i get the message external hard drive is ready again and again......

    There's an ongoing issue with external HDD's after the last update.

    Supposedly it's being worked on, but we've had no updates in days. Coincidentally, most people are reporting issues with Seagate external drives....

    I am experiencing this same problem with Fantom Drives seagate sshd. I can see the drive under management and was able to play games until games needed updates after last XBOX UPDATE. I restored XBOX ONE and formatted external drive and no good
    results. I also just got off phone with microsoft support and he stated this is the first he’s heard of this problem!
    Not true! They've known about this last update bricking external hard drives for close to a month.

    I had an issue in the past with my external drive i found out it only liked being plugged into the usb port it was originally formatted on ie front being port 1 then 2 3 on the back . Hope you get sorted
