Cannot save Xbox One Captures to Computer

Hello,

I can screenshot/ capture a game but can no longer save the picture to my computer.

I screenshot a game by pressing the Xbox button then Y. That has remained the same. However, the app (on Xbox) that stores the captures is now over-complicatedly hidden, whereby it is only accessible through the 3 second pop up "Screenshot Saved. Hold [Xbox
Button] to start." or through Upload Studio. Since that change, the only way to make the images visible TO MYSELF on a computer is by allowing automatic uploads of screenshots to the activity feed.

I used to be able to click on the image from the activity feed to open the larger sized image, where I could click-and-drag it to my computer (desktop) folder or right-click it and save. ALAS, NO MORE!

Now there is a black opaque vignette wrapped around the image and large white text at the bottom-left (see image).

It is IMPOSSIBLE to click-and-drag it. "Save as..." does not save the image, but only the entire web-page!

I cannot click on the image to view a better form!

To Microsoft: Why have you removed the ability to save images?????

Why have you added the black filter over most of the image with that save ability removed???

Why have you added white text over the image, knowingly that it will be covering the original photo if anyone tries to screenshot it on a computer??

Why do all this when it is a perfectly clear and pure image on the TV screen, knowing that TVs do not have a screen capture function, thus knowing that any other means of transferring the image to a computer would distort the fidelity of the image???

Most of all, why ruin a perfectly working system in the last few months (when did all these changes happen to the Xbox OS and Xbox Site? It has only occurred in this year (2018) & the previous year (2017)?), when it has been great for years?????????

Screenshots won't save or share from the upload app

I have a similar issue. I try to save my screen captures and it says "Sorry, the capture you selected was not saved. PLease try again".

Actually, even the videos I capture cannot be saved.

I have xbox gold membership, if that info is relevant.

 

Is there a way to view more than my last 100 captures on the Xbox website?

I've been playing Xbox One for about 2 years and have made around 150 captures on the console. One of my favorite features, works great. When I go onto my account through the website though, only my most recent 100 captures are visible.
I know that the older ones are still online because I can watch them on my friends Xbox,. Is there any way to view or save more than just these last 100 captures from my computer?

Sorry, I'm not able to look at your issue directly. I'm replying on my phone.

However, did you know you can capture pictures and video directly to a USB Flash drive now?

1. Press the Xbox button to open the Guide.
2. Scroll across to the System tab.
3. Select All settings.
4. Scroll down to the Preferences tab.
5. Choose Broadcast & capture.
6. Navigate to Capture location.
7. Select External.
