Cannot run anything on my Xbox One

When i try to run anything on my Xbox One I am getting the trouble code 0x8027025a and saying (insert game/app) took too long to start.

I have tried doing a power cycle and a hard reset.

I am in offline mode because i haved reached my data limit on my home internet because i live in a rural area. I am limited to 10GB/month then it gets shut down for the rest of the month.

I am only having this issue in offline mode. When my data renews at the beginning of the month and i can go online it works just fine. I am only having the issue when i don't have internet access.

I do have physical copies of all my games, i just bought a brand new game and even it doesn't want to run, disk is in prestine condition.

At times it is also giving me this trouble code when i try to pull up my settings. I was last online around mid-September.

Does anyone have a solution for this. Preferably without the need for internet access.

Thanks guys. I am yet to hear from them and when I spoke on the phone with your service team they said 2 business days... That was more the 4 days ago I believe? I'm still waiting on a phone call or something. Thoughts ?

It looks like your case is in the proper hands. I would suggest either giving it a few more days, or following up with the Phone Support team once more.

Hey Trygger thanks for bringing this issue to us!

This issue seems to be coming from the fact that the console isn't connected to the internet since we have released some updates since then.

We suggest trying to connect it to the internet and update the console, once the console is updated make sure the account is set to home.

Note You can designate
only one console as your home Xbox.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.
   
3. Review the information, and then do one of the following:
   • Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.
     
   • Select This is not my home Xbox to remove the designation

Once these steps are done the console should be up and running. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

 

So the big issue is because I currently DON'T have internet access.

What I'm getting out of this is if a person doesn't have internet then they are not able to do anything other than using their Xbox as a paper weight.

What is the purpose of offline mode when it stops you from playing a game that isn't even online?

I feel this is completely unfair for people that have limited to no internet access.

It appears that you are attempting to play games on your Xbox One console, but each time are presented with an error when loading said games.

As stated within our Using Xbox One offline article:

Activities your Xbox must be online for include:

• Playing games and apps that require the internet
• Syncing game progress and playing saved games from a different Xbox
• Using social features like friends, messages, and parties
• Shopping for games, add-ons, movies, and so on
• Updating games, apps, and your Xbox console

Now, with this information provided, it would be best to attempt what Nestor mentioned with any network connection, after which content may be accessed offline.
