Cannot require password at login on a different device

definitely need to check the password again. If it's brand new, and other wireless devices are working fine, then it's either the network or the password. Check to make sure there's nothing different (network passwords are case sensitive). Keep in mind that
spaces count, and you're not using a keyboard so be careful.

Now, if your network requires a device login function, then you need to do that with the xbox's MAC address (or spoof it off an unused MAC address). And make sure that your router will allow the xbox to connect (i.e.- the security and/or protocol settings)

Also, some routers don't use the same connection speed that's required for the xbox to connect to it. So make sure that's good too.

IF that dosn't work you may want to invest in a netgear router. If you can direct connect using an ethernet cable, go into your router by typing in 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.0 admin is the user, and password is the password. Go down to internet, and you should
see something towards the top of the page that says does your internet require a login. Select yes and type in your username and password for your college internet. And poof you now have a private wireless network, that dosn't require login, and is completely
compatible with and wireless device such as the xbox360.

Hello, easiest way is just change your login password. Require password for sign in.

I have 15 digit passwords that I can remember, never once have I had a security issue. I worked in network protection so have a very good idea on secure passwords. Every single device requires a password on initial setup. Every website I have ever visited
requires a password to login (then you save it to your password manager) God forbid you ever need to reformat any of your systems, if you find it difficult entering a password one time.
