Cannot register an Xbox 360

Xbox 360 consoles do not usually come with pre-installed games. If you purchased your console used then you will not be able to use those games as the licenses are registered to the original owner and cannot be transferred.

To claim 360 games with gold for xbox one you need to have linked with the account a valid method of payment, credit card. In this case a purchase of 0,00$ is registered while claiming the game.

Since the account is that of a minor and not allowed to purchase online, it cannot claim the 360 games with gold for xbox one.

If your controller still does not work correctly, it will have to be replaced. You can order a replacement Xbox 360 controller from the Xbox Online Service Center. You must register your console to replace a controller under warranty.

Give Support a call and explain the issue. They should be able to register your console and set-up a repair request. The repair will be free if you are still inside the extended warranty period, they'll be able to tell you that on the phone as well.
