Cannot redeem my xbox live gold prepaid code

I gave you guys a call about 5 hours ago. And yet, the problem is still there. Cant redeem the code!!!!!!!! this problem has ruined my day!

Need help redeeming my xbox live code

I tried redeeming the code in my browser on my computer using these instructions, big mistake. It said "thank you, you redeemed your code" and then exited me out. No gamertag registration whatsoever. I thought the whole point of redeeming my code was to create a gamer tag, but no just exits me out. I then tried redeeming my code on my xbox (so that I could create the gamer tag) and it said "sorry, code already redeemed."

so what the... what do I do now?

Hi there, so was the code for MS currency or was it an Xbox Live Gold subscription? Please note that you cannot use currency added to your account to buy gold subscriptions.

Have you tried redeeming on the console itself? Steps here:

I believe you can also try at the following link, scroll to the bottom and select 'redeem gift card'

Where have you tried to redeem the code (console, Smartglass, Online-including browser).

Are you getting an error code? if so what? No error code, what specifically is happening when you try to enter the code?

Does your billing information match the region for the code you are redeeming?

Okay, so this is wats going on.

I was trying to redeem a 12 month live gold code, and it keep showing "Something went wrong, sry about that,plz try again later." This has been over 24 hours.

Looking up the XBOS1005 code, it could be one of a couple reasons:

-Make sure your account location (region) matches your physical location.

-Make sure the code you are entering was purchased in your same region.

-Make sure your billing information matches your physical region.

If any of those items don't match, it will cause issues trying to redeem codes.

Only other reason could be some sort of billing suspension on the account, and you would have to check with phone support to get that cleared up. If you don't have their number you can go here

i am sure it is not because any of the reasons you mentioned, cuz i did redeem couple codes before without any problem!
