    I'm trying to redeem an Xbox live membership digital code bought from Dell Canada for about a week and everytime I received an error message:

    On the Xbox One I received the following message:

    XboxPurchaseInvalidPaymentInstrumentId

    7ObpwNKpps0p3hJCZJYg/g.8

    On my PC the message is different:

    XBOS-3014

    I switch my credit card on my account just in case it was the issue, but I still got the messages. Can someone help me with this ?

  3. My Xbox Gold membership ended early and I buy a prepaid card and it says an error occurs

    I too cannot redeem my prepaid 12month gold xbox live membership card on my Xbox one, It says something went wrong after it already confirms that it's a valid card and what it is redeemable for,

    I do not have any fraud or suspicious behavior and I can't redeem my code, This isn't my problem either, It's MS problem like above me said, Fix it!

    Remeeming errors are usually caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check your billing information at http://billing.microsoft.com and http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues. After that try redeeming the code on
    both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

    Also check that account , console and code region match, using different regions van cause issues too.

    If you can't find anything wrong and it is still not working, best thing to do is to contact official Xbox Support via Phone or Microsoft Support Chat at Contact Us | Xbox Support

    you cannot remove a creditcard while on an active membership

    as stated by smwutches you must wait till your account turns silver or not actively on the 12month membership

    Monthly subscription too yearly subscription

    goto your profile

    then goto the right

    account management

    xbox live membership

    select the 12month membership

    purchase

    (future purchases will now be 12months)

    Can you cancel a Xbox LIVE 2 Day Gold Subscription?

    You still should be able to redeem the 12month, but if it not letting you just wait.

    You can't redeem a 48hr code when you have a gold membership, guess it works the other way as well.

    The only thing missing from gold and 48 is the sales, but you will have time for them this week if there was something you were wanting to purchase.
