Cannot redeem code

Hello!

I recently bought the xbox one S bundle, I got the code and tried redeeming it, when I redeem it on the xbox it said "Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem it on a different
web page.". I check if I missed something on the card and I saw that it said "Redeem at microsoft.com/redeem" when I tried
redeeming it there it said the same thing. What am I supposed to do?

I had the same problem, which was really confusing for me to start with, I couldn't do anything online because the xbox one wanted me to accept updated terms and conditions to start with, when it did this I got a error which stopped me connecting to live, and although I could browse the web I couldn't get on the live service

to get round this I went to the xbox live account on my pc and accepted them there - it then worked instantly.

however from previous threads it seems like your already on live.

You will have to talk to Xbox Supporte, they will assist you in this case

 

You could try changing the console region, then try redeeming the code. That might work. You can then change the region back afterwards.

 

Alright so I bought the xbox one S fortnite bundle. I tried to redeem the code on the microsoft store on the xbox it told me "Check the instructions that came with your code. You might need to redeem
it on a different web page." I went on microsoft.com/redeem (it told me to redeem it there) but when I redeem it it said the exact same thing as it did on the console. I contascted epic and they said "

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue.

If you don't mind me asking, how many characters long is the code that you're trying to redeem?

It might be something that you have to redeem somewhere else.

Also, if it did not work on the internet through that link, have you tried instead on the console itself?

I would look up the information here on our support page entitled
Troubleshoot Xbox prepaid code issues if you haven't already.

Let us know how you tried to redeem it and give the information on that page a look through

What should I change the console region to?

 

The code is 25 letters (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx)

 

If you're in the US, change it to the UK. If in the UK, then change to the US.

 

I'm in sweden so what do I change it to?

I recommend to contact Xbox Support for this matter as it looks like an issue other's are experiencing as well. They should create an open case for you and let you know once a fix has been pushed out but as of right now that code will keep giving you that
message no matter where you try to put it in. It's not a region issue as the error message would be different.
