    Hi,

    my friend just sent me a gift about 14~15 hours ago in xbox live, when I try to claim the code it says -

    "Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region. This code was purchased in a different region and cannot be redeemed."

    so as I get it right there is a problem in xbox live status from yesterday, but this is the cause to my problem either?

    (god i shouldn't be helping you...supporting that team!. arrrggghhh cannot redeem a code :) )

    I had the same problem, which was really confusing for me to start with, I couldn't do anything online because the xbox one wanted me to accept updated terms and conditions to start with, when it did this I got a error which stopped me connecting to live, and although I could browse the web I couldn't get on the live service

    to get round this I went to the xbox live account on my pc and accepted them there - it then worked instantly.

    however from previous threads it seems like your already on live.

    actually Wednesday are big!

    I contact with them already, they say the issue happening due to the xbox live status.

    but I don't fully sure about that..

    If the friend that gifted you the code is in another region the code will not work as codes are region locked. That friend would have to contact official support to attempt to get a refund.

    If the code is not a 25 character code, then it cannot be redeemed on Xbox. You would need to redeem the code on the Fastcard website.

    you cannot get gold back.

    ANY type of trials (48 hour/2 week/1 month/etc) are not stackable. so you redeemed a code wed-so either u had it wed/thursday or thursday/friday PLUS the free gold weekend. then now you can redeem another code and have that one.

    once the code is redeemed, it's redeemed and cannot be used again.

    if you didn't use it/internet was out/etc it's still cannot be used again and a refund cannot be processed.

    I bought an Xbox One S new that came with download codes.

    If you redeemed the codes, then they are tied to the account that redeemed them and cannot be transferred to a new owner.

    Hey there!

    You cannot redeem them at the same time. Redeem one code, then wait for the pass to expire (make sure you've cancelled the auto-renew) then redeem the second code.
