Cannot redeem a code

Hi everyone, I`m new here and sorry if this is the wrong topic for this subject. ( I`m from Romania )

When I bought the xbox 360 console ( 2-3 months ago ) and few games , I had got a card with 1 month free xbox live gold membership .

I waited untill I practice with the games and I get better at them , so I can enjoy of online playing .

Today,, I tried to redeem that code on this computer . I wrote the code then appeared something like this :

" Xbox Live Prepaid 1 month Gold Membership Card

Prepaid Code

Subject to the Xbox Live terms of use and Xbox.com/usagerules . There are no refunds ."

Untill now,, I think it`s ok .

I clicked the "Confirm" buton , and then , this text made my day :

"Something went wrong

Give it another try. If this happens again, let us know by entering the code below at xbox.com/errorhelp so we can investigate.

(god i shouldn't be helping you...supporting that team!. arrrggghhh )

I had the same problem, which was really confusing for me to start with, I couldn't do anything online because the xbox one wanted me to accept updated terms and conditions to start with, when it did this I got a error which stopped me connecting to live, and although I could browse the web I couldn't get on the live service

to get round this I went to the xbox live account on my pc and accepted them there - it then worked instantly.

however from previous threads it seems like your already on live.

Can you try redeeming the code on your console? Press the Guide button on the controller then scroll left and choose Redeem Code.

PS: You know that when u join first time with the console,, u need to make an account,, and then u get 1 month trial gold membership ( with this one ,, i should have 2 months) . When I saw that offer,, I thought like the code which I received ( to wait a
little untill I am pretty good at the games and only then to start playing online ) . 1-2 Weeks after I bought that console,, I was still receiving that offer but I skipped, now I cant find that 1 trial gold membership anymore ... Is it expired ? Now I feel
bad because I didnt start that trial and this one right when I bought the console because I could have 2 months,, now I`m not sure if I have at least 1 .....

Sorry for my bad english , I am romanian and only 14 years old .

The offer where you create your account on the console is time limited. If you did not take advantage of it when you saw it then it is no longer available.

 

Awww I feel so bad now when I see how great is online gaming .. I think that after this free membership is gone,, I`ll buy an year one ...

Hi. I have the same problem. I have bought 12+1 month prepaid card and when I try to activate it online (from browser) and I got the same error as CrazyTurtle. I enter the code, a page showing

Xbox LIVE Prepaid 12 + 1 Month Gold Membership Card displays. Confirm and I get error:

The weird thing is, that when I try to redeem the code on my console (xbox360) an error message appears, that this code isn't valid (i checked it at least 10 times and it is entered correctly). What should I do?

@Crazy - no worries. Just remember that you still have the freebie available on the console. However a new account will need to be created to access it.

@Ironclad - please create a new thread detailing your issue and be sure to post the exact error message you get on the console.

Im almost done trying anymore, but want to make question here too.

I having trouble with these codes too. I bought new Xbox 360e about 1, 5 months ago. With this game i got Bonus Xbox Live Gold Membership for one month and this new Tomb Raider game, both these cards are with codes. In internet, these codes make error, like
Crazy had, and in console it says these are wrong codes. Like.. whut a **** ? I have tryd i think 50 times both these codes, every time it says the same thing

What should i do?

Its not the only problem wiht this console. GTA5 crashes while loading, if i want to play some old savegames. I can open the old savegome and old missions, but when i finish these ones , then it crashes while loading -.-

Im over 18 and already completed this billing information . I just game back from shop, where i bought this console and asked the same thing there. They sayd, i live in Estonia, and if i make a profile, then i cant but Estonia, because microsoft has not
legalized this country or smth like that .. veird.. so, now i try to change all adresses to UK.. lets see what happens...

whit this game i heard some really veird stuff more (Tomb Raider what comes with console) . Here in Estonia and in some oder countrys more, you cant donwload this came, because they check your IP adress and dont loud you do that in your country.. like what?
.
