    Cannot recover account. Please help!


    I recently bought a new xbox 360 and I went to log into my account only to realize that I didn't remember the password. It has been several years since I have had to log into that account and so I tried to do the "Forgot Password" this didnt help as it asked
    me to enter in loads of information from when I made the account YEARS ago. I filled in as much info as possible but it said I hadn't provided enough and to try again. It wants things like the last 4 digits of my mother's old debit card and recent emails sent
    from the account. I cant provide emails because I havent used that email in over 5 years. I dont know what to do... I have several hundred dollars worth of games linked to that account and it would be a real shame if they were all just gone because I cant
    think of a password I made when I was 13 years old.

    Error code 80070020 PLEASE HELP

    Whenever I try to recover my account it says that I cannot recover it at this time and it gives me an error code that says 80070020 what does that mean please help

    Try again and see if you can get help from xbox support they may can help you with the issue. Have you try useing the same email you use to sign up with.

    CANNOT RECOVER GAMERTAG PLEASE HELP!!!

    cheers for the help chaps...the best course of action was to delete the profile off of my HDD (profile only and not saves - obviously but ya know how daft some folk can be lol) as this was in a way, corrupted due to it only being partially recovered.

    I then proceeded to recover my GT without fault and I am now transfering my profile back and forth to my primary and secondary xboxes via USB as this is quicker and safer.

    I would also suggest putting your profile on a USB storage device since you seem like you're going to go back and forth often. Recovering the profile is meant as a troubleshooting tool and should not be used regularly. Let us know how your recover goes!

    Ah, yes, the USB option is definitely nice! It's what we use here in the office as well. :) Glad to hear things are well again, happy gaming! :)
