Cannot recover account or make a new one

Hello, I'm attempting to play Halo MCC through Steam. I made a random outlook email account to play with in the past: *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***

I do not know the password to this account or any details I created it with. I only ever made it to play Halo. When Steam starts the game, I am unable to recover the password and also unable to create a new account to play with - I can only sign in with that account or try to recover it (I can't).

I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, there seems to be nothing I can do.

Can someone please help me with this?

I managed to attempt to log in with this current outlook email I'm using, but it says "there was an error signing in to Xbox Live".

Can someone please help? I just want to play the game I paid for.

I actually found the solution amidst a sea of random related issues on another website. For anyone wondering, you must:

- Go to the windows search bar
- Search for Credential Manager
- Windows Credentials
- Scroll down to Xbl|DeviceKey
- Remove it and launch the game.
- You'll get the sign in prompt again.

you need to recover the other account

no the profiles cannot be merged nothing can be transfered

to promote an account you have to join xbox live on the profile and make a new account not use an existing account

Hi, as I said unfortunately an account cannot be recovered with the gamertag alone, because its not enough proof of ownership

Please use the methods shared previously

If you're not able to recover the account in that way, you may need to create a new one
