Cannot purchase red dead redemption.

What the hell is the point of having it on the Xbox one store, if you can't purchase the game? I added more money to my account just for this, and I can't even buy it. I won't make this mistake again. From now on, I'm purchasing physical copies. No more
digital.

Every time i attempt to purchase this game online it keeps saying it is unable to do so and 80150017 keeps popping up as the error code

Hi could be region issue:

Both your region and location must be the same to access certain content and validate downloads or play restricted games etc.

If your location and region are not the same you can amend by following these steps:

support.xbox.com/.../change-region

Please note disc based games must be compatible with your consoles region.

Alternatively could be a risk lock:

I could not buy anything online or on console event though all methods valid and enough funds etc.

t turns out the issue relates to a risk block where by if you buy numerous items in a short time scale or have suddenly bought something after a long break then the system automatically lock your account to prevent fraud.

To remove the lock please contact support as above and explain the issue.

Be aware it took 5 days for a resolution so please be patient.

I've had this same issue with the 360 games with gold. It's because I don't have a credit card on file to "prove my age".

 

Change payment option is the only option I get when I try to purchase. The same option I've always received. I'm sick and tired of missing out on games that I want because they still haven't fixed it. You can't buy through the website either.

 

If you try to purchase a 360 game via Xbox One or the website, you will need a valid payment method to purchase the game.If you have a 360, you can download the games and they'll appear in your "Ready to Install" list on Xbox One.

 

I already know that. I was also told, months ago, they were working on a fix for it. I guess GameStop will be getting my money from now on. Instead of Microsoft.

 

Purchasing isn't limited any more, and the issue still remains. What's the deal?

 

There is no fix it's a requirement of xbox live

It seems like this is an ongoing issue for Red Dead Redemption.

If you want, you can try to get it from the 360 console using money on your account .
