Cannot "purchase" free with Gold Grid 2!!

Ok I followed the same procedure I did to "purchase" Borderlands (free) a month ago.

Normally after each purchase I REMOVE the registered card from my microsoft account because I'm afraid someone could steal my info and use it.

So I added my mastercard again to purchase Grid 2 and now this message pops ups "Impossibile completare l'acquisto in questo momento. Riprova in seguito." .... which means Unable to complete the purchase at this time. Please try again later.


I tried many times, even after a few days. From both my Xbox One and browser

Why?

Today is the 8th and for what I know, a new game will show on the 15th or 16th, which means after I will be unable to get Grid 2

I require a solution asap, please

For those of you who cant download this title, don't worry, you're saving yourself further annoyance. After the first 4 to 5 races you can't progress any further due to the fact the game is broken. It had this issue back in 2013.

Thats just one of the threads I found on this. Sad, it had a lot of potential even if the button config was a nightmare.

I, too, am unable to "Purchase" Gold Grid 2, even though it is stating it is free.

Very frustrating for my son & husband (and I)!

 

You're not the only one, I can't download it either. It keeps saying I have to buy it off my xbox but I'm on my xbox trying to get it already

 

Two completely different issues and two different ways to resolveit

As per the requirements of xbox 360 live you need to have a payment option on file unless you use an xbox 360

Regardless if it is free or not that is your only option anything else would be a violation of the terms of use

And no no one can steal your info even if they have your login as the info is asterisk out and would be missing key information like the 3 digit security code

The issue is completely different you have a child account you must make th purchase on a xbox 360

Xbox one family settings don't apply to xbox 360 purchases

You have two options buy it with a xbox 360 or use a parental account with gold

Or promote your account if you are over 18

If you are over 18 you need to follow the copa law and fax ms a copy of your photo ID under updating my age

 

FYI shout child accounts under copa you use provide a credit card also to prove your age

No...there's a misunderstanding......I did use my mastercard, otherwise I couldn't even get to the screen with:

"Unable to complete the purchase at this time. Please try again later."

I did exactly the same thing I did last month to get Borderlands.

It worked.

Now it doesn't work for Grid 2

Why?

As I already said it DID work when I had to purchase Borderlands

There are numerous factors that can be at play here, below are some of the most common scenarios:

• If you're located in a region that the game is not supported in, this will cause issue downloading the game that we are unable to remedy.
  
• If your Xbox Live account region is not set to where you're physically located in, this can cause similar issues. To change this,start out by reading out
  
  Xbox Live Region Migration support page, and then continue to follow the steps listed under 'How to change your region'. Note: You can only do this one every 3 months, so be sure to select the region you're physically located in.
  
• If your Xbox Live account is a child account, the parent account must complete the purchase.
  
• You need a credit card on file to complete the "purchase".

hardvibes2, which region are you physically located in? That information will help us a bunch.

 

I figured out by myself that issue was the region. My account is italian and I live in China.

I cannot lose my PRIVILEGE of getting free games with Gold simply because live in a Country where I don't speak its language. So you know what I did?

Seriously, change this region policy.

If I set my account to China, everything will be in chinese and I don't understand any of it! Plus, I guess there hey have some kind of censorship even for the Xbox One and XBL!

I don't want to mess up my own account!

 

I don't think you realize the issue

Using a vpn is a violation of the terms of use nor can anyone give you any help to bypass the legal region locks set by your government and publishers

You are bound by the local laws of china regardless of what you think

You willing it very hard to live in a country without knowing the local language

 

You are only allowed content as far as region locked content goes that is legalLy distributed in your country in this case the Chinese content set by both government and the publisher
