Cannot purchase Extended Service Plan online for my new Xbox One

Hi, is your console still within the original warranty period ? Extended service plans cannot be purchased on systems that are out of the original warranty period.

You can purchase service contracts (warranties) for the Xbox to have it covered for all issues for up to 3 year, 1st year is free with a new console and you can purchase up to two additional years. You have to purchase it before the warranty lapses though.
In your case, the 3 year warranty for specific issues is NOT your standard warranty, so your's lapsed over two years ago. Additionally, it cannot be covered beyond 3 years regardless.

warranty page is correct ("Microsoft Complete is an extended service plan for your new Xbox One console and Kinect. Microsoft Complete provides you with three total years of coverage for your console and Kinect sensor."). I
believe all the confusion is that you are technically buying 2 additional years but say folks or sites are saying 2 years from the purchase date which is incorrect. Hope this helps!

well the thing is in order to renew any warranty including xbox (stated in the warranty terms)

you need to be in the general warranty period

since you are beyond that you will have to either pay for a repair and then renew the warranty then

(which would be 1 year plus whatever period you purchase)

thats the 1 year warranty not the extended 3 year warranty
