Cannot purchase Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons via Xbox.com due to a security code request loop

I'm away from my Xbox and I'm trying to "buy" Brothers while it's still free with Games With Gold. I try to but it and it asks me for a security code. I check the email account the code gets sent to and then enter the code, telling Xbox.com that my laptop
is a trusted device and that I don't want to put in a code every time. I get kicked back to the main page, I go to buy Brothers again ...and it asks me for a code again. I put the same code from earlier in and it wants a NEW code now. I JUST said to stop asking
me for codes! How hard does this have to be!

I won't be able to get to my Xbox for several days and I'm going to miss the Games With Gold period at this rate. I would be more disappointed but I've learned to expect this nonsense from Microsoft by this point. Don't dangle the carrot of free games if
you can't deliver.

No, I cannot download Brothers through my Xbox. I'm out of town and won't be back before the free period ends.

No, I do not have easy access to the email associated with my account, it's my mother's work email.

Yes, I have tried changing the email associated with my XBL account to one I do have easy access to, but Microsoft has seen fit to make that impossible without having access to a Xbox 360/One tied to said XBL account.

Yes, I have tried "chatting" with an Xbox "ambassador". The only help they provided was the phone number to Xbox Support.

Yes, I tried to call Xbox Support. Yes, the lovely robot voice asked me for YET ANOTHER security code. No, I did not bother any further.

 

Try a different browser. Sometimes your browser will just not like the website at all and even clearing cookies/cache won't help.

 

This is the only browser I have on my laptop and I'm not downloading another just for this when Chrome has worked just fine in the past. I purchased Motocross Madness via Xbox.com when it was free with Games With Gold so I see no reason why Chrome would
be causing the problem.

I'll try clearing cookies/cache but I'm 90% sure this is just another case of Xbox.com being a sub-par website. I've lost count of all the problems I've come across here. You'd think a tech company like Microsoft could put together a better website for one
of their flagship products.
