Cannot purchase ANYTHING

Currently my Xbox gamer tag is unable to purchase anything because it is supposedly not allowed to purchase by decree of the parent account (yep it's a child account, and embarrassing). Thing is- it isn't. The parental settings have always allowed me to
make purchases and I have two years of being on Xbox 360 Gold and a year on Xbox One Gold on a monthly subscription with the Games with Gold purchases every month to prove that, but this changed when I cancelled my Gold subscription in March as I wouldn't
be using it for a while.

The parent account has blocked the following:

• Kinect sharing
• social network sharing
• video and music status
• voice data collection
• voice search collection
• explicit content

and the top three items in the list of allowed actions:

• online gameplay
• friend requests
• purchase content

Yet whenever I attempt to buy anything, I receive the error: "Your settings do not allow purchases" (Xbox one error code PUR3001) before referring me to my privacy settings which tell me to change them in the parent account which does allow me to make purchases.
I do not have and have not had any enforcement actions made against me ever so it has not been suspended; however I am still inexplicably blocked from making purchases. If anyone knows why and can help me I would greatly appreciate it as right now I have a
£300 brick that cannot even pay for a free Xbox LIVE Gold trial.

Hopefully the information provided by MOZ has solved your problem - but in response to your PM, you would be getting an underage message popping up.

I know you said you checked your privacy settings, but I would use
this guide tomake sure you have done it properly.

Also I have seen someone say that if you change the setting to "cant buy anything" and then revert it back to be able to buy anything it fixed it so it's worth a shot.
