Cannot promote my Xbox Live account to an adult. Turned 19 last week...

One of the things I was looking forward to before I turned 18 was to promote my Xbox Live account to an adult to get away from all the child restrictions (even though there are no content controls on my account), when I turned 18 I got on only to find that
I could not promote my account. What? So going on, I was patient enough to wait for my 19th birthday, which was last week, to see if I could promote it then. Still no luck, this is actually very aggravating as I know that my birth date on the account is my
actual birth date and I have no idea why I cannot promote it. I don't know if this is done in error or what. Any help is appreciated.

how to access adult account im 19

so when i was 15 me and my sister made an xbox live account using her email as the parental account, now im 19 she died last year and i have no way to promote my account to adult, i need help someone please!!!! ideas!!

If you are 19 or older you can promote your account to adult.

can you double check your Birthdate here:
account.live.com/SummaryPage.aspx

Also be aware that the xbox live account will use the birthdate that was present when the xbox live account was created, so if that birthdate was incorrect and it was changed afterwards the xbox live account will still use that initial birthdate.

A second thing to be aware of is that the option to promote to adult is based on the country/region's age of majority. So it may not be 18 in all country/region

Just be be sure the steps on how to promote the account can be found on this link:

Im 18 (19 in a week or so) my account was promoted to an adult account like a year ago and I'm still having this problem

you have to be 18 to promote an account to an adult changing your windows live will not change the age of the account when your account turns 18 THEN you will have the ability to promote to an adult one. and remember a child account cannot download any
M or RP (ratings pending) demos or videos regardless of any parental consent.

nope once set the age of an account cannot be changed it can only be promoted to an adult account when the gamertag turns 18
