Cannot play online

Ok so last friday i bought Xbox live gold and all weekend it wouldn't work due to Purchase and Content fault..then yesterday it registered i was a Gold member and could download my free game yet i couldn't play online..i've done all that port forwarding
stuff and the UPnP but it hasn't made a difference, powercycled the modem and the Xbox and still nothing, my modem is only bout 3 months old it's an Eircom D1000 (from Ireland) so surely it should be up to date enough??? it says my NAT type is open and multiplayer
connection test says everything's good even say's my network is behind a cone NAT??? needless to say my patience is quickly running out over this matter

I too had this problem, starting a couple of weeks back, though I did find a solution from searching the Treyarch/Black Ops forum. Check the time on your 360, you'll likely find that it's fast. Log out, correct the time in Settings then log back in. I got
back onto multiplayer first time and it's been fixed since. Hope this helps. Still odd that this is effecting so many people all of a sudden.

 

Cannot play online?

About over a week ago I fired up Black Ops and couldn't get onto multiplayer. I get a message saying 'server is not available at this time'. This has happened since title update 8 and I have no idea why. I only used to play about 5 or 6 games a day. Any
ideas why this is happening?

Could you please provide more information on what exactly is not working ? Do you get an errorcode when trying to play a multiplayer game?

 

I can't connect to the EA servers or Ubisoft servers. Got it going for about 30 mins earlier (after countless resets of the modem) and then just disconnected from the EA server again. No error codes but when i go into multiplayer connection (it says everything
is working fine) and then press all the shoulder buttons it goes into the next screen and i've gotten bout 3 different status codes 0x104004000200005D, 0x1040040002000057 and 0x1040040002000060???

 

Could you try resetting your MAC address of your Xbox ?

1. Press the Home button
2. Press the Menu button (right from the home button),and select
   Settings
3. In there you want to select Network and Advanced settings
   
4. Select Alternate MAC adress and hit Clear
   
   

You will now be prompted to restart your Xbox

 

No did this absolutely nothing for me and i don't see how it would work if i had to put in the Xbox's MAC address when i was putting in the static IP address into my modem???
