    Cannot play online with new xbox live account


    Gone from playing offline to now trying to play online with new xbox live account.

    I have read about transferring the licence, but the old profile does not seem to be available.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

    You need a paid Xbox LIVE Gold membership in order to play online with others. Your account has a free membership and cannot play online with others.

    trying to change an offline profile to an online profile...

    If she is on a child account, you would have to create a new online account from scratch. Offline child accounts cannot be converted to Live accounts.
